Dr. Chirag Rana grew up in Orland Park and graduated in the top of his class from Carl Sandburg High School. He then pursued a degree in biology with a minor in Chemistry at the University of Illinois at Champaign-Urbana. Being extremely nearsighted and struggling with this as a child, he was inspired to help others with their vision and enrolled at the Illinois College of Optometry. His current passion is pursuing new methods to help control myopia today. During his specialty rotations, he specifically trained in ocular disease, pediatrics, specialty contact lenses, and low vision at clinics across the county. Dr. Rana always dreamed of coming back to the southwest suburbs to take care of his friends and neighbors.
After meeting in school, Doctors Rana & Rana moved to Tinley Park following graduation and married in 2010. They now reside in Mokena with their two children, Nehvin and Lola. They love being part of this private practice because it allows them to fully care for the needs of their patients. They are excited to be able to fulfill their dream of working together in their own practice.
